BRÆNDTE OLE
Illustrated by Nis Jessen - here you see a few of the illustrations :
A 1658-story about an old, hollow oak - not far away from JESSEN GALLERY.
Inside the oak people found a full-dressed skeleton of a Swedish soldier, and the story tells
a grievous romance between that soldier and a virgin from Bornholm. The tree is still standing -
but it was split into two by lightning - so now we only can see one half of it.
